Fall has officially arrived although the temperatures are still like the summer! As most of you know by now, we had to temporarily relocate from the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center due to the damage we received there from Hurricane Irene. I am currently located at the Broad Creek Marina in Wanchese, the southern end of Roanoke Island. Hopefully, I will be back at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center by next weekend. Since the storm, however, the bluefishing has been excellent, with a few Spanish mixed in. The water has cleared up and things are getting back to normal. The fishing will just keep getting better from here on out. In closing, I have been busy due to the birth of a new grandson, Layden Johnson Shannon, born Sept. 14th, my future mate! So give me a call at home or at the Oregon Inlet fishing center if interested in chartering the Sea Era. Thanks, Capt. Dean
